Acacia honey

Acacia honey is one of the most valuable varieties of honey. Bees collect honey from white and yellow acacia in May – June. Honey collected from a yellow acacia has a light yellow color, and almost transparent honey collected from a white acacia.

Acacia honey has a delicate flower aroma and delicate pleasant taste, it does not have that honey bitterness inherent in other varieties of honey. Acacia honey is transparent and does not crystallize for long. This is a popular dessert variety.

Honey contains a whole complex of nutrients useful to the human body. Namely: glucose, fructose, sucrose, and also in small amounts vitamins B1, B2, B6, E, K, C, carotene and folic acid.

Due to their bactericidal, antiseptic, sedative properties, acacia honey is widely used in folk medicine and cosmetology. They are used in the treatment of bronchitis, colds, skin diseases, eye infections, cuts, burns, insomnia and other diseases. Regular consumption of honey speeds up the metabolism and increases immunity.

In cosmetology honey is used in the preparation of face masks, scrub, to nourish the hair and scalp, wrap in cellulite, for honey massage.

Despite all the useful properties of honey, there are also contraindications, such as individual intolerance, allergic reactions, children’s age of up to two years. It is also not recommended to exceed the daily rate of honey consumption (about 80 grams for adults and 30 grams for children).
